Mr. Kiseka John, the Accountant of Uganda Martyrs School of Nursing and Midwifery - kaliro, is a career finance professional who has served the Institution as Head of Finance and Accounting Department. He also serves as a member on the UMSNM Planning and Tender Boards. He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance and Accounting, Diploma in Accounts from Nkumba University and he is currently persucing a career in Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
Mandate:
- To budget, Account, Plan revenue collection and expenditure management, manage the recurrent and development budget for the Institution in line with the Constitution of Republic of Uganda, the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001,Public Finance Management Act 2015.
Key Functions
- Carry out financial planning and management of the Institution budget.
- Oversee the management of the Institution incomes, expenditures, and stores.
- Maintain a sound financial accounting system, record keeping and internal controls.
- Advise and enforce adherence to sound financial management policies, rules, procedures and professional practices in all financial and accounting transactions.
- Reconcile the books of accounts, produce and present the university final accounts and bank Statement to the relevant authorities.
- Provide technical advice on response to audit queries and mandatory inquiries whenever necessary.
Office Hours:
The office is open Monday to Friday between the following hours:
- 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
- 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
